From my browser tab -- I guess the intent could be that there is a trademark on the combination of the logo and Login? But it sure looks like they think they own Login. #Delta #Trademark

Trademark vs. Copyright: What's the difference? 🤔

📌 Trademark = Protects brand names, logos, slogans (🛍️ Nike, Apple logo)
📌 Copyright = Protects creative works like books, music, films (🎶📚🎬)

🧠 One protects your brand, the other protects your creations.

Looks like Aldi's on track to lose again - another country is suing over their copy-cat cookies and packaging. Aldi's already lost similar cases in the U.K. and Australia, it doesn't look good for them here in the U.S.

I would like to get back to cat and comics post, but unfortunately I have to try and get attention to what is going on over at Pinterest. Hopefully soon back to our original programming.

5 years ago today, Pinterest told me my account had been suspended by mistake, because "sometimes good accounts get caught in the mix".

So, I am going to do a little thread on

A simple email screenshot from Pinterest Support. The header shows “Zoe (Pinterest Support)” with a timestamp of May 20, 2020 at 9:31 AM PDT. The message reads:

Hi Benjamin,

I took a look and reactivated your account. Sometimes, good accounts get caught in the mix and get suspended by mistake. We’re sorry that happened.

If you have any further trouble, reach out again through our Help Center.

Thanks,

Zoe

Maybe @Dockers opted for the misspelled "TruTemp" #branding because #philosophy had already taken "Truetemp".

Aside: I recently published new data about #thoughtExperiments like Truetemp:

A photo of Docker's TruTemp365 tag on the waist band of a pair of pants."Suppose a person, whom we shall name Mr. Truetemp, undergoes brain surgery by an experimental surgeon who invents a small device which is both a very accurate thermometer and a computational device capable of generating thoughts. ... Now imagine, ..., that he has no idea that the tempucomp has been inserted in his brain, is only slightly puzzled about why he thinks so obsessively about the temperature, but never checks a thermometer to determine whether these thoughts about the temperature are correct. He accepts them unreflectively.... Thus, he thinks and accepts that the temperature is 104 degrees. It is. Does he know that it is? Surely not."
