On New Year's Day, I sent a photo of me and my partner to several family members, and it was the first time they saw me as a woman, including my brother. I received nothing but compliments on my looks. I keep thinking about that moment, like… wow. They saw me. Really saw me.

And then today at Ulta, I finally got my eyebrows done!!! They look so good. The girls were incredibly kind, complimenting my hair and just being genuinely friendly, like it was the most normal thing in the world (in the best way). I love being in those spaces and realizing I am not carrying that "am I out of place?" feeling the way I did early in my transition.

A newer friend I made late 2025 said this to me, and I swear it made my whole heart exhale:

"I would like to pay you a compliment as best as I can.
I see you.
I have only ever noticed your facial expressions to be those of a woman.
Now, I notice an introspective, shy, and intelligent woman being well matched by well maintained feminine looks you own more and more each time I see you. "
