This video was one of the best videos I have watched on Transphobia and the links between people in that community. Also he talks a lot about the research that is cited so often! It is a very long one but fuck me it was amazing to watch. (I saw someone else on mastodon post about it but lost the link) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiOc0r31-Os
Tell the BBC to stop attacking trans people!!

All right, fellow transes damned to the hell of Terf Island, I'm in the market for a private trans healthcare clinic based in London, because the NHS are just too sadistic (and there's no hope of any Nuremberg trials any time soon...).
Necessary characteristics are that they need to have actual premises I can turn up to get bloods/Decapeptyl/etc. done (and ideally the option of face-to-face or online appointments), and they need to not be beholden to the NHS's worthless rules (if that is at all possible).
Cis people may not reply.
Thanks!
Just got a friend to call up the Tavistock gender clinic to ask for a transferral to Transcend, the new-ish gender clinic in the Merseyside. The Tavistock seemed open to doing it and asked her to send them an email, which she did and we eagerly await the results of.
If this works then it seems like a good path for anyone else in the local area since Transcend has a much shorter waitlist than the older clinics.

To any trans folks from #liverpool , #merseyside and nearby this might be extremely important news: Transcend is now taking referrals directly from GPs!
It'd probably be worth any trans folks who can get referred to do so because while Transcend still isn't perfect, or even good, they've shown themselves to have shorter waiting lists and are at least somewhat less hostile to service users.
don't let terfs take over hampstead heath! i call you to advocate for no changes in policy, keeping the ponds trans inclusive. I think the trans community needs all safe spaces we can get and losing something like this would be awful. I didnt know they were trans inclusive when I lived closer and thus never dared to go and I would like to go when I'm there again... unless.
anyway let em hear from you at https://hampstead-heath-bathing-ponds.commonplace.is/en-GB/ and invite your friends 🏳️⚧️🖤

Amend Equality Act to define the terms woman and man not based on biological sex petition
"We believe trans women are women and therefore deserve the same rights as cis-gendered women, and that trans men are men and therefore deserve the same rights as cis-gendered men. We think the rights of human beings are being stripped away by defining people based on biological sex." #TransRightsAreHumanRights #TransUK

Retired judge says UK felt safer for trans people in the 90s than it does today.
Sad but true.
I suspect it is starting to feel that way for gender non-conforming cis people too, especially butch lesbians.

Recently I bought a cute bikini that I REALLY like and feel mega cute in! The fact it shows the bulge and that is stopping me to wear it in public (the fact that any LGBTQ+ people still have to consider safety before being themselves I think is a failing of society in the 21st century)... Personally I don't have an issue with my bulge, but apparently society disagrees with me there. I also bought an equally cute one piece swimsuit at the same time: so at least I have that fallback when I'm in public and not private (like a hot tub)!
However, while looking into it I accidentally discovered queer (also known as gay) beaches are a thing, specific LGBTQ+ friendly beach spaces... Which is great if your in the US or Canada (or even some other European countries)... The UK is far more limiting with only a handful in Brighton and no where else! Considering I want to go glamping to different places next year, not having LGBTQ+-friendly beach spaces in other counties is a bit unfortunate really...
Gender Self-identification

I just donated to fund the campaign to challenge the supreme court's decision on gender. You can too.
A friend just calls me to relay a real world every day experience.
Cis female, in London. Covent Garden.
Queuing for the loo.
Male attendant. Keeps going in to the ladies to check for free loos & keep them clean.
Meanwhile a guy with 2 young female kids decides he’s not waiting in the queue for them to use the loo when the gents has no queue. Off they go to the gents.
Guess how many women are objecting to either scenario. Zero. That’s right. Zero.
What’s the problem again?
Supreme Court ruling 'considered' over Ladies' Pond trans access - BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj68pk40z74o
This news report, in my mind shows what is wrong with the supreme court judgement on trans people.
They say trans woman have been swimming in the pond for years, WITHOUT incident, but now they are deciding if they can swim there or not.
If it hasn't been a problem in the past, why should it be a problem in the future?
