• #TropicalStorm #Wutip is the first Western North Pacific #TropicalCyclone this year. As of Wed 8pm China Time it is centered at 16.8°N 111.4°E, about 258km/160mi SE of Sanya, China.
• It has maximum sustained wind speed of 35kts/40mph/65kph – barely reaching TS strength.
• It is expected to intensify to Severe Tropical Storm before making landfall in Hainan, China, late Thu night to early Fri morning; it won't reach #Typhoon strength.

Two houses on stilts in #Brisbane’s western suburbs are set to brave #TropicalCyclone Alfred.
The two homes – at Simpsons Road in #Bardon – are under construction in an area which regularly floods.
That’s unlikely to be a major concern this time, but Alfred is a category-two tropical cyclone and is expected to bring sustained winds of 95km/h, gusting up to 130km/h.

I'm officially calling this "Typhoon-Posting"
This typhoon haven't brought that much rain yet, but it hit during a high tide, causing extra rise in water level, and thus, flooding.
Man-Yi is also a reservoir in Hong Kong (萬宜水庫 High Island Reservoir), which is why there are rocks on her head, and a tremendous amount of water.
