In an email from Storyblocks today titled "Two new ways to create faster," you can probably guess what they're selling. The slop maker of course.

Artist voices inspired by humans. I want to gag reading this. This is one of the most egregious misuses of the technology.
And how much does replacing yourself with slop cost? Only about $252 per year, which is a discounted rate for paying annually, to start with a few "credits" per month. They'll happily charge you for higher tiers, like their "Small Business" license which is about $480 per year.
I once considered using Storyblocks because of their stock media but quickly discovered the "AI Toolkit." No artist or creator should ever use this service. Be wary of anyone who takes them as a sponsor as well. This represents everything in the #enshittification of everything.

𝐅𝐀𝐖𝐌 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫
So I've mentioned a time or two about the annual songwriting challenge I've been participating in for several years... the February Album Writing Month. I affectionately call it The Gathering of the FAWM Nerds.
Welp. It's over. Bittersweet. My participation was minimal because of various challenges. Oh well... live and learn. And while the goal is to write 14 songs in the 28 days of February, the spirit of the challenge is to unlock creativity. That really is the main goal of FAWM. I didn't come close to 14. But I did very much push my creativity. And I collaborated some, which I don't often do.
There was the surprise collab that occurred from a haphazard comment I made on the forum about my favorite band/album at age 14 being Rush — Permanent Waves.
Yeah. That collab sucked. You don't always hit a home run.
Then there was the mini challenge of collaborating with four random other people in an Exquisite Corpse type game. That turned out so friggin good.
And I've got one with a FAWM friend who I had a falling out with a few years ago. But last year, we buried the hatchet and are polishing up a song we did together this year. That one is special.
It's often said during FAWM, "Even if you get just one song written... you're a winner because that's one more than you had in January."
It's even better if I, as the songwriter, like it.
For me... THIS is that song. I *really* like this multiple-time-signatures, fictional, storytime song. This was so fun to do. But what really makes it so extra special for me was having a very dear friend help out with some of the voice acting. Yeah... I get to make the voice reveal. 😉
If you don't care to peek behind the curtain don't listen to the end. My boy-voice makes an appearance (I was told this was a tragic male fail) and there's also me attempting to sound like a little old lady. Barbie Movie reference!

Hello creatures and beings of the Fedilands!
I come to you with a request—or perhaps an offer, depending on how you choose to see it. A few months ago, I released a small audio-drama project based on three short fantasy stories I had written. At the time, I asked whether any of you might be interested in lending your voices to the endeavor. What I did not anticipate was the sheer wave of feedback and enthusiasm that followed its release.
There was, however, a shadow over that first incarnation. The project was born from a college writing class and bound tightly by length limits and an unforgiving timeline. Creative corners were cut. Wings were clipped before they could fully spread.
So now, encouraged by friends and kindred spirits, I have chosen to begin anew.
Blackwood Tales rises again.
The script for Episode One is complete, and Episode Two is already taking shape in the dark between the stars.
And now we come to the true meat and bones of this message. I am seeking collaborators of all kinds. Voice actors, composers, artists, and any wandering souls who feel the pull of this world. You are warmly invited. If the project calls to you, I would be delighted to speak and see where your talents might weave into the tapestry.
A brief synopsis:
A young man burdened with seemingly useless magic, a collection of ancient books, and the weight of his grandfather’s legendary legacy must find a way to save his brother—and restore the freedom of magical creatures from Tarrinia’s tyrannical ruler.

Sometimes you have just listen to some well... Written? Dialogue.
In that case I'm not sharing this for the creator of the short but the dialogue in that game scene.
It's hilarious.
Warning the creator in this Video usually screams at one point, people may find this endearing or annoying.
I can tolerate it in small doses but damn this dialogue is pure stupid/genius gold and the acting of the voice cast also. Reminds me to a swearing Monthy Python (it's beeped because America and the rest is flowery speak).
According to the comments the game is named NORSE: oath of blood. A top down, round based Combat, RPG with heavy viking theme.
