@kdnyhan I was hoping to see some responses here. I’ve been playing around with #VOSviewer. Technology is great and I sense the opportunities but still do not manage to interpret the visuals well. Good examples, not júst nice colourings, are appreciated.

Please show me your favorite network graphs about scholarship! Topic modeling, bibliometric, scientometric, whatever.

You get bonus points if the figure comes with a caption that explains what the node size/edge thickness/colors/clusters/? mean.

New version 1.6.20 of #VOSviewer has just been released by @neesjanvaneck https://www.vosviewer.com.

This version offers improved support for open data sources like @OpenAlex.

We also spent quite some time fixing issues related to the file format used by #Scopus for exporting data from its database. I have mixed feelings about this. Should we keep investing time in proprietary data sources that fail to offer a reliable way to export data, or should we dedicate all our time to open data sources?
