πŸ”¬ Everyone talks about nanotech, but who digs into how nanostructures are made?

πŸ“Š We do β€” with 35,000+ papers analyzed!

Our new paper compares electrochemical etching vs. deposition through a bibliometric lens.

@kdnyhan I was hoping to see some responses here. I’ve been playing around with #VOSviewer. Technology is great and I sense the opportunities but still do not manage to interpret the visuals well. Good examples, not jΓΊst nice colourings, are appreciated.

Please show me your favorite network graphs about scholarship! Topic modeling, bibliometric, scientometric, whatever.

You get bonus points if the figure comes with a caption that explains what the node size/edge thickness/colors/clusters/? mean.

And thanks to @OpenAlex for their great database and #VOSViewer for their great tool. Without them this project would not have been possible.

πŸŽƒ Today is Halloween and exactly 5 years ago, we published our very first blog post!

πŸ‘₯ The goal of the Leiden Madtrics blog was to establish an active and engaging platform for @cwts and our community to express ourselves and share ideas, inspire, and learn. A lot has happened since then!

πŸ‘€ Read our anniversary blog post with a brief reflection and learn about the diversity of topics discussed in 166 blog posts so far! πŸ‘‰ leidenmadtrics.nl/articles/do-.

New version 1.6.20 of #VOSviewer has just been released by @neesjanvaneck vosviewer.com.

This version offers improved support for open data sources like @OpenAlex.

We also spent quite some time fixing issues related to the file format used by #Scopus for exporting data from its database. I have mixed feelings about this. Should we keep investing time in proprietary data sources that fail to offer a reliable way to export data, or should we dedicate all our time to open data sources?

Just released: #VOSviewer version 1.6.20, offering improved support for creating maps based on data downloaded through APIs. It also supports creating maps based on data exported from #Scopus in the new Scopus file format. @LudoWaltman @cwts vosviewer.com
