Just a good article from a great non-profit news outlet about how, as always, it was volunteer mutual aid teams that held Vermont together during the recent floods, including performing highly dangerous rescue operations.
I know a lot of these folks, and they're as solid as they come. So glad they're there.

If you're following the severe, soon-to-be catastrophic flooding in #Vermont and want to help, I can't speak highly enough of the Stratton Foundation. They rescued my dad's hometown after the 2011 Irene floods.
The spillways of the Army Corps dams just north and south of Dad's hometown will breach in a few hours. Even in Irene, that didn't happen. Keep Vermont close to heart.
