Is there a reliable historical accurate information about Ukrainian paganism and pagan folk traditions, legends and songs, collected somewhere?
Especially regarding Veles?
I specially point to Ukraine and to folk paganism, to avoid bump into pan-Slavism when search for such information mentioning "Slavic" term?
English and Ukrainian sources prefferred.
The more I read about pre-Christian Slavic beliefs and magic/witchcraft practices, the more interesting it become.
#Veles there is not a pure "evil devil" ™ but a complicated figure who can do some good or bring some harm, if desires or find it necessary.
It is closer to how Nature works and behaves, compared with strict separation of formalized Good vs Evil we taught from Christianity.

As I'm fairly sure the recipient of the gift isn't aware of Mastodon at all, pretty safe to share the custom box I made to keep their #Yule/Christmas gift in.
