As #vermintide2 has a couple of new maps added since I last played, I'm thinking of streaming it this Friday.

It's in a weird place for me as I love playing it with friends but my current community doesn't really play vermintide or games like it. You'd think there were more #warhammer fans in nerd groups but you'd be wrong

i played #stardewValley, #terraria and #tabletopSimulator the most this year but my favorite game in 2024 was #SolarAsh which ruled. other highlights this year were #LethalCompany which i didn't get to play as much as i wanted, #vermintide2 when it doesn't ctd, #theSexyBrutale was a very fun mystery, and #Portal2 co-op was one of the most wholesome gaming experiences i've ever had. i played too much absolute garbage for any of it to be worth mentioning.

Still working. Now I only get chunks when the game starts chunking due to projectiles and mobs.

#DeepRockGalactic #Vermintide2 and #GrimDawn are running flawlessly as well so all the games I play with my friends are #Linux friendly even though I did have to move to a beta branch for Vermintide that skips it's launcher.

I also moved back and forth between #Nobara and bone stock Debian 12 and have settled on Debian. Nobara won't sleep/resume correctly, and won't actually let me type in the login screen even though it recognizes my password.

7. #Vermintide2

Vermintide 2 is the #Left4Dead successor that’s worthy of its lineage. It doesn’t play the same, but the fun of desperately fighting your way through a horde with a team of friends is unmistakably similar.

The biggest difference is the focus on melee combat as opposed to range. And it feels really good. There’s a delicate dance of dodges, blocks, pushes and power attacks that give it a ton of depth.
