Grig mentions a key #automation that solved an important bottleneck:

This by itself can eat up to two weeks of time on both ends of this transaction. We had automated this NDA signing process so that it would usually happen in hours. Many of our vendors would follow up and tell us how insanely fast this was and how it was the smoothest and fastest contracting experience that they had ever had."

Some behind the scenes info on this: I built it by wiring up a form builder, #make.com and #DocuSign. For additional features I synced the current state of each signature request to a Notion Database. Don't forget to build automated tests for core business logic like this, I used #cypress to do that.

All in all the implementation is the easy part with things like this, the hard part is figuring out which processes to automate to actually generate the most value without doing premature optimization and building unnecessary features.

If you want to build something like this without passing the data to third parties, the same thing can be done using self-hosted tools like #wpforms, #n8n and #nextcloud

Für Kontaktformulare nutze ich aktuell die kostenlose Version von #wpforms . Nun würde ich gerne Formulare erstellen können, die von der ausfüllenden Person direkt als pdf generiert werden können. Ich verstehe nicht, ob das mit einer Bezahlversion von wpforms geht. Alternativ steht auch #gravityforms im Raum. Grundsätzlich bin ich wohl bereit etwas zu zahlen, ich wünsche mir aber trotzdem #FOSS ...
Oder gibt es ganz andere (externe) Alternativen?

File Upload Types is quite a popular #wordpress #plugin allowing to define which file types the user can upload (for example to Media Library) and it is free.

Though it was not updated for quite an amount time.

Now it's changed! We just released a new version. All the features have been developed by me but with great support in QA and code review from my #wpforms team.

And it is not my last word! The next release is on prod.
