Part of the fun of following a niche / newish sport like #ultrarunning is we're still no-where near the limits, and you get to see record-breaking all the time. Courtney Dauwalter just took 1 hour and 20 minutes off a super-tough women's record at #WS100, and by whatever standards you look at it (even hers) that is nutballs-amazing.

What the actual fuck. Got grab dinner, come back and Dauwalter is in the top 10 and 37 minutes UNDER course record.

Vorschau auf den Western States 100 aka WSER. Sieben der Top10-Finisher des letzten Jahres sind wieder dabei.
Mein Interesse liegt auf Rennsteig-Sieger Janosch Kowalczyk.
Das Rennen findet am 24. Juni statt und wird hoffentlich nicht durch Waldbrände in Kalifornien gefährdet. In 10 Jahren wird es das Rennen in dieser Form wegen Klimakatastrophe wohl nicht mehr geben. #WS100 #UltraRunning

It's confirmed that Mosquito Ridge Rd will not be open for race day as the damage from the fire and rain is too severe. Thus, no crew access to Duncan Canyon or Dusty Corners this year. It is expected to be repaired in 2023 just not in time for our race.
