You can get quite far with online AI tools from free to $20/month.
For specific use cases, it's better to rent a GPU (RTX6000 level, via vGPU providers, or Hetzner) for a month and experiment, than it is to buy the RTX 6000 with decent computer.
Invariably you'll discover your particular use case is only 90% covered by the available tools, and additional training is required to fine tune the model.
At this point buy the GPU(s). Don't fret the cost, buy the best you can afford[1] and put it to work.
You will probably concurrently rent chat-ai/api services from multiple providers for wider contexts and general problem solving. This overhead doesn't reduce because you have a GPU.
