This is another illustration from a game I made a while back called "Rooftop lovematch". This was the beginning of my using #Blender3D to make backgrounds and see how it would work. I was going for an anime-style background here, how do you think I did?

Here's the finished background. You can now see the whole journey, from basic photobashing to full paint over.

Characters will be added to it, to create the full narrative scene.

I can't show you the finished piece, it's going to be part of a pitch deck project I'm putting together, soon to be sent to studios and producers.

Progression on the paint over to make an "anime" background.
I switched to B&W to focus on the shapes and values. I'll take car of colors when everything's solid enough.
