After a few years of use on the road, I finally figured out how to get the tension bolt snug into the nose of my #brooks #b17 saddle; I used a tiny locking pliers to clamp it into the metal cup, and that also stopped the bolt rotating when I turned the nut on the bolt using the Brooks wrench.
This is like lost knowledge, the wisdom of the ancients. Brooks just say that the bolt shouldn't turn when you turn the nut; they don't say what to do about it if it does turn.

My grandpa 'Papa' Jack (that I named my kid after) navigated a B-17 bomber over Germany dropping bombs on shitty Nazis in WWII as part of the 'Bloody Hundredth' bomb squadron.
Illinois pilot Mike Kellner has been rebuilding a B-17 in his barn for 40 years because he wants to fly it. Rad as fuck.

🚲🚲🚲 Es geht über die B17! 🚲🚲🚲
Natürlich lassen wir es uns nicht nehmen und machen die B17 zu dem was sie sein sollte! Der größten Fahrradstraße Augsburgs!
Aber wir wollen natürlich auch in der Stadt zeigen wie wichtig der Radverkehr ist, darum geht es an ein paar Stellen vorbei, die zum Teil gar nicht für den Radverkehr ausgebaut sind und nur in einer Demo sicher zu befahren sind.
Generell wird die Polizei die Strecke für uns absperren, sodass wir endlich mal ohne mulmiges Gefühl Radln können!
Komm am 11. April um 16 Uhr zum Willy-Brand-Platz wir fahren kurz nach dem Start schon los!

The B-17 Bomber was amazing and helped win WWII. I flew on one in 2002 as a tourist - I have family members that were ball turret gunners - bad place to be.
This video was shot on Hi-8, and thankfully I digitized it (at 720x480) way back in that day. Now, I've up-scaled it with local AI (1408x954) and the improvement is astounding.
