Lots of hand-wringing and pearl-clutching going on about the demise of the bad place, usually with the terrible mixed metaphor of the death of the town square.
Any decent town has a whole bunch of different types of squares, serving a whole bunch of different purposes.
Some are good, some are bad; some only come alive at 1 a.m., with carousers leaving a terrible mess behind.

Every time I go over to the #fowlplace (credit to @marlies for coining the term) and then come back here - I come to realization how much that platform is filled with toxicity and utter sense of doom. It can’t be healthy and sustainable to make that site - a #badplace - a primary source of information on social media platforms. #fediverse
