Mission BEXUS 34 was sent aloft at 13:47 UTC carrying onboard SVAROG, RETINA, SMART, SPICY & STORMDUST experiments developed by students from UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany & Poland.

BEXUS allows universities and colleges across Europe to carry out & experiments on two balloons that each year, transport up to 20 experiments built by students.

Launch of the BEXUS 34 balloon from ESRANGE balloon base in Sweden. Onboard were the following experiments:

Project Svarog (Investigation of large-scale membrane deployment dynamics in near vacuum conditions) from Imperial College London, United Kingdom

RETINA (Real-time Experiment for Thermal management, Inertial Navigation and Attitude) from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy

SMART (Satellite and Meteor Awareness from Radar Technology) from University of Porto, Portugal

SpiCy (Stratospheric investigation of combinatory cyanobacterial biofilms) from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany

STORMDUST (Science of TOxin migRation and Microbiology in DifficUlt STratospheric conditions) from Gdansk University of Technology, Poland
