Reading about the mostly bad reaction to the new MLK-related permanent installation in #Boston reminded me that for several years in my Intro to Comm Studies class, I had students review the five proposals for the artwork on the #BostonCommons. Usually the students chose one of the other designs as the best for the space and the purpose. I’m sure the group who oversaw this is probably kicking themselves over how this turned out.
