Oh wow ! cette famille a des box turtles et ces animaux hibernent, donc ils les aident à hiberner en les enterrant dans un coin du jardin pour 5 mois 😳

ça fait 25 ans qu'ils font ça et les animaux ne s'en portent que mieux, mais c'est à la fois très intéressant et un peu malaisant, ça réveille certains cauchemars quelque part.

My day became a good day by mid-morning, when I drove past a box turtle trying to cross a busy road. I found a place to pull over, sprinted like I haven’t sprinted in years back to the turtle, waved my arms frantically at oncoming traffic, and, with the help of a truck driver who stopped traffic for me, moved the turtle to the other side of the road.

Maybe this makes up for the time last year when I was too late getting back.

Sprinting is still kinda fun.

I hate bugs so much but I have three #boxturtles and a #beardie who need to eat bugs. I suck it up and feed them by hand because that’s easiest. I fucking hate touching bugs but these little creatures rely on me to keep them healthy. Bff is a vegetarian and cooks her dog chicken every week. This is love and selfishness for the creatures who need us. When I adopted my turtle and beardie from various reptile rescue I made a big-ass promise to them. I am THEIRS. #alttext #Altext
