I cleaned off the little table that houses my work computer mouse and put a small pet blanket on it. Mr. Strudel is stretched out comfortably sleeping, and has hopped down to eat or do Strudel things before returning. I think he's figured out he is in a good place now where he will be cared for and loved. I keeping looking at him and thinking wow, I did this. I made this little creature safe and comfortable. (Skittles is sleeping in her shark.)

Cat parent tip:

The temptations lickables (or Churro treats) are great for giving pills. I put a blob on the pill, poke it down the throat, then put a bit more on the cat's lips, and the cat swallows the pill. There's plenty of treat left to give before and after the pill and there hasn't been much of a struggle.

We've got about three more days of twice daily pills for Biggest Boi and then that should be all done.

Just called the vet and our biggest boi Charlie gets to come home today! Hooray!!!! That is a load off of my mind, and I know the bedroom kitties will be happy to have him back too, because I can tell they've been missing him.

So happy to see Strudel playing. He wasn't too interested in Skittles mice, but I bought some fresh ones from Chewy (and they're light/dark gray, so more "mouse" colored) and he's having fun with them. He's not interested in the crinkle ball, but does seem to love to play with the wash cloth he pulled into his kennel. Either way, so happy to see this stray boy figuring out it's fun to be a house cat.

Not ashamed to say I broke down today feeding the senior kitties at noon because our biggest boi wasn't there. 😭 But the vet has given him a good prognosis, but he still has a slight fever and the wound is still draining so he stays there over the weekend. I understand why, but I miss my huge orange Charlie cat. He will get all the squish hugs and head kissies when we can hopefully pick him up on Monday. 😻
