Happy 40th birthday to Dire Straits’ “Brothers in Arms”, released on May 17, 1985. Literally everybody back then bought this album on CD (except me, who got in on vinyl and got “Love over Gold” on CD instead). Both albums are favorites of mine.

Amidst throwing packaged candy through the portcullis at invading seasonal monsters, I managed to get the rest of my record fair loot cleaned and properly sorted into sleeves.

Yes, I know many of those covers are crap quality, but I don't want them to get 'any more crap' nor shed 'crap' into the rest of my collection -- hence the fancy sleeves.

Also, seems to make them look better that way. Less 'crap' if you will.

As for the sound, they all seem to play quite nicely!

Ooh, more monsters at the moat. Must run.

Surprise Music Day
Listening to some new and unexpected music today. Five new (to me) music CDs arrived inside a Pioneer 6CD changer cart I needed to test a recently acquired vintage CD player. Sadly, the player doesn't fully work, and I'm not motivated enough to diagnose and fix it—so it'll be on eBay soon :)

I'd only heard one of these albums previously (Amanda Marshall), so I'm looking forward to giving these a spin. 🎶
