Well, yeah, so I get it now.
Unfortunately, I don't have any #AppleDevice, but just for you to know, (maybe it'd help): On #Samsung, you can use the #ModesAndRoutines #app to set something like: When certain app(s) opened, #connect/ #disconnect from a #VPN (added from #settings, not from a downloaded VPN app).
Also, maybe there are some #unofficial #clientApps for those #music #services, and through them, you'd be able to access them even with a #VPN?

(I have no doubt that you researched the problem and looked for ways of solving it, but this is what came in my mind :-)

Last month I had to uninstall sengi-bin aur package, because it had some dependencies that electron23 required preventing me to upgrade my system, pacman trow the following error message:

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing icu (76.1-1) breaks dependency 'libicui18n.so=75-64' required by electron23
:: installing icu (76.1-1) breaks dependency 'libicuuc.so=75-64' required by electron23
:: installing flac (1.5.0-1) breaks dependency 'libFLAC.so=12-64' required by electron23

Since the only app that required electron23 was sengi-bin I had to remove the only mastodon client that works well on my old system. 🥹

Luckily Sengi is available as an appimage, from now on I'm going to use it this way. 😌😊

First thing I wish for is a "browse" mode for Lists, I don't want a new list to the right as I click through my List of Lists, I want to look through them, one at a time, quickly, to scan for any new toots.

Searching *within* that list of toots from the List would be the next thing.

@indigitalcolor Thanks for the info! I just installed tooot app and realize I prefer what I was previously using. I think it's just a matter of time that the edit feature is a standard across all Mastodon client apps. I will stick with the app that feels the best to use on a daily basis and wait patiently for the edit button.
