You can see that the temperature fluctuations are at the resolution of the thermometer, ±0.1℃.

@3dprinting The FilaBilly Dehumidifier's PID controller looks a little under-damped. I tuned it using ESPHome's built-in Ziegler-Nichols tuning. Now I'm going to try to hand tune it a little bit. (I have never tuned a PID controller before. They are black boxes to me.)

It is trying to cycle between 15 minutes at -0.5℃ and 5 minutes at +2℃. That lets it defrost.

A line graph shows a waveform. It alternates between the two levels -0.5 and +2 degrees, but at each point it shows continued oscillation: plus/minus 2 degrees around +2 and plus/minus 1.4 degrees around -0.5. The oscillation period is about 45-50 seconds.

A row of terminal blocks in the bottom of a control cabinet. White wires run into the top of the terminals and grey wires come out of the bottom. The grey wires are bundled with velcro. An ethernet cable can be seen plugged into the back of a keystone module that sits on the bottom face of the cabinet.A WAGO I/O station with 8 modules. Dark blue wires are connected to the modules and each carries a label. The modules also each have a reference designator. Below the I/O station, wire ducts can be seen. Sitting prominently in front of the ducts, a purple PROFIBUS cable is visible.Part of a control panel with terminal blocks at the bottom and DIN rail relays above. Lots of dark blue and white wires terminate at the devices. Wire ducts run all around them. All terminal blocks and relay modules are labelled.
