hugely disappointed with #NodeJS dropping #corepack. it's literally the best thing that happened to this insane package manager zoo, which simplified using any package manager to typing `corepack enable` after installing node.js

are we going to return to stupid and incompatible ways of globally installing every package manager? I hate even thinking about this idea. I had so many issues with #yarn and #pnpm in the past with that 😖

also screw #npm. 2024 and it still unbelievably sucks

I migrated a project from Yarn1 "Classic" to Yarn4, no fancy PNP flavour, just good old node_modules flavour and it worked almost flawless.
Some new concepts like corepack and shipping the package manager inside your project needed understanding but it comes with benefits.
I guess all the confusion and caution around Yarn2 can be buried. #nodejs #yarn #corepack
