Hollerith or IBM?

We found something older than our Siemens Telephonysystem from 1922.

It is a manual card punch from the Deutsche Hollerith Maschinen Gesellschaft M.B.H. Berlin from 1920.

@ponderingpothos Later they have to change the PET to CBM (Commodore Business Machines) in Europe and Canada as Phillips held a trademark on PET.

And they changed the color and labeling a lot too.

Perl on a Cray Y-MP EL

Compiling Perl on a Cray is not an easy task, if you only have a few hours every Tuesday. And taking a Cray home, even the little Y-MP EL, is not an option. Neither is letting it run unattended.

The frustrating part is the wait. Unicos does not even have a 'top' command, so ps -efa is your best friend
