*Gasps in designer*
How bloody dare you?
My boss over here doubling down on calling a .psd a "PDF that never opens for me" when I have literally never saved the original files for this as a .pdf, only as .psd.
Have I mentioned that he is retiring and it can't come fast enough? 76 more days!!!
TFW you use 5 design applications with different keyboard shortcuts, you haven't used one of them in 3 weeks, and now you feel like a toddler who is using the software for the first time. 🙃
A client just commented that the black text on the white background in their brochure was "difficult to read." I honestly am speechless. #DesignerProblems #IsItFridayYet
Programmers be like: 'It's not a bug, it's a feature.' Designers be like: 'It's not a choice, it's a vibe.'

The palette of “greens“ selected to repaint this house is a puzzler. They even tested the colors with swatches before committing. 🫣
if people walked around the theater during tech rehearsal waving a floodlight, the lighting designer would throw a fit. nobody does this because it’s clearly obvious they should not.
and yet nothing seems to stop them from talking as loudly as they please at any time.
I can't be the only one.
I made some Yule cards for the first time in probably about 5 yrs, had them printed by Avery (where I have probably printed ~10 small projects in the past, all with good results), and they made the interior glossy.
The website says the "front" will be glossy. Nothing in my order indicates anything else be glossy. They reprinted them.
The interiors are still glossy.
I asked for a refund; they are reprinting them. SIGH.
WTF am I supposed to do with all these cards?
I don’t use pantone swatches often enough to justify the purchase of a full $400 set, but it always bums me out when my Baby’s First Pantone swatch set (aka the tiny cheap one) leaves out the one color I need. Kelly green, huh? Just no room for that obscure and unfamiliar shade in the poor people book?
I’ve been under a digital rock this past week in the thick of a challenging job hunt for a design role. I’m looking for a position where I can use my skills and passion for creating value through design. 🚀 #designerproblems
I’m a bit late to the #WWDC23 and #AppleVisionPro party. My only question is: Are there legs?! 🤔😂
I don't want to name my layers. I don't want to name my design systems. I don't want to struggle to decide my professional title or labels. I just want to focus on people.

Something from #Indesign for #ThrowbackThursday. It's funny what you find when people send you their files sometimes. 😆

As we wait for the PDF to finish let us ponder the sights and wonders we've seen on our journey...
There was that one image we couldn't find and relink at all. Followed by six more of the same. All the fonts that wouldn't load! And who could forget the first time we tried PDFing that crashed? Ah... The memories.
Hopefully we arrive where we're going and come out as better people for it. Now I would like you all to bow your heads. Let us pray...
#Indesign files that are 50-100 pages long and involve 20gigs or so of high res images are a lot to handle sometimes. Am I missing any tips on getting these to run faster? (Preferably without just changing the display to "Fast quality".) #DesignerProblems
I mean I could link the images and then move/delete them temporarily to just use the image previews but that's not ideal for softcopy checking the PDFs...
I thought starting a full-time job would eliminate the anxiety of taking sick days. I guess I was wrong. Here’s to always feeling like you’re doing something wrong 🥂 #imposter #impostersyndrome #designerProblems #motionDesign #RoomToImprove #designer
Me, printing stuff for my kid's first grade class scrapbook project: "Do I go out and buy crappy photo paper, or do I out myself as a designer?" #designerproblems #designlife
I'm reluctantly using JIRA confluence for my design docs at work when I really want to use Notion.
Notion reminds me of Dropbox Paper. Confluence reminds me of Microsoft Word.
