#FernetBranca is a sipping #liquer, best had as a #digestif. It is a strong flavored liquor, with a flavor of fennel, and darkly colored. I have never met anyone who appreciates the flavor besides myself. This makes me appreciate finding it here so much more. 😊

Douglas fir, Western Red Cedar, broadleaf dock, big-leaf avens and roots, osoberry flowers (white), red flowering currant flowers, salal leaves, usnea, wild fennel, blackberry leaf shoots, Oregon grape flower buds. Pousse cafés are a class of seldom-seen layered cocktails. The term itself is French, and means "push coffee", or #coffee chaser—the idea seems to be that these drinks were introduced as a #digestif, or an after-dinner, after-coffee drink to aid digestion. Personally anyone my age thinks of a roll of Lifesaver candies when seeing this drink. Stingray (definitely an alias), our #BourbonStreet (adjacent) bartender claimed to be an expert and we tested his claim, ordering dozens of these.
