Today, two more Auto Union brands - DKW and Audi. The green car is the DKW F102, introduced in 1963, a modern design but with an old two-stroke engine. It was replaced by a revamped version with a four-stroke, the F103 (red car, Techno Classica 2017), in 1966 for which the dormant Audi badge was revived. Note the DKW was already using the ‘four ring’ Auto Union grille logo in preference to a DKW badge. This was then transferred to the Audi

I’ve mentioned a couple of times that the East German Wartburg and Barkas shared a common ancestry with cars from DKW and Audi in the West, in that they were all based on pre-war Auto Union technology. This is the West German DKW F89 from 1950. At the same time, in East Germany, the near-identical IFA F9 was introduced. Both cars were based on the mechanicals of the pre-war DKW F8 and the body of a DKW prototype, the F9. Pic: Techno Classica Essen 2013.

Rétro car voitures 🚘 Une vieille 'Choperia Splendid' au 1400 av. Pellegrini entre Corrientes et Paraguay, dans la ville de Rosario dans les années 1970, avec très peu de trafic de l'époque, on apprécie un DKW familial en parfait état. En 1964 la production du KOMBI #DKW a commencé dans la même province sur la photo (Santa Fe)..curieux sur la photo qu'il y en ait 2 identiques !!!!

The 597 ‘Jagdwagen’ lost out to the DKW Munga in Porsche’s bid the supply the newly formed Bundeswehr, so only 71 prototypes and trials vehicles were built. Oh I have an extra weird car to show you from this trip. So we stayed the night near Ingolstadt then the following morning flew to Frankfurt to go to Automechanica, a big trade show. And found another Kamei Golf there! Kamei had a stand and it was there as a promo.
