Fiction, on occasion, should challenge us to take a hard look at the history, especially as an American. Stephen Graham Jones has a way with words that is both wonderful and horrific, and once again, he has redefined a genre, this time horror with vampires.

I haven't forgotten about you!

I have moved, but a strange thing has happened.

I find myself grieving what came before and what being queer has cost me. It has made reading and playing video games difficult, because all I want to do is sleep and recover.

It isn't a bad thing to grieve what has come before. The fact is that I do feel so much better now that I am able to just be myself. But, I need just a bit more time. Thank you for bearing with me.

Puzzle games are back on the menu, Bois!

But really, a brand new puzzle game with ton of content and plenty challenges to solve.

Check out my review of Blue Prince!

No blog post this week! I am in Vegas for a work conference (with a brief time out for some DDR). I'll be back next week with a full review of the game Wonderstop.

In the midst of the chaos going on in the world, there are still beautiful sapphic romances out there. In Lucy Undying by Kiersten White, we learn what actually happened to Lucy of Dracula fame.

Boy oh boy, has the world gone crazy lately. Imagine, though, that your entire world is nothing more than a few square miles, with a crumbling manor and a dying bog. What would you do to keep the land alive?

At the intersection of grief and folklore, anything can happen. Monstrilio speaks of the way grief affects a family and the different ways they handle it. Plus, a monster grown from a piece of lung!

It's a new year and there are many good things ahead. In this blog post, I talk about some of the books and a game I didn't get a chance to review this year.

Remember, whatever the next four years brings, as long as we stand strong with each other, we can power through it.

We are taking a break from the blog until after the New Year. Please have a safe and happy holiday season.

May you receive all the books you want and some that may surprise you.

I didn't have queer gothic horror on my reding bingo list for this year, but here we go. Ghosts? Check. Haunting cats? Yep. Vampires? Definitely without the glitter.

Check out my review of All the Hearts You Eat by Hailey Piper.

It's been a rough week, my friends, but I have a treat for you. Imagine a world built on traditions that were nearly destroyed by colonization, add a pinch of magic and divinity, and you have Rebecca Roanhorse's Between Earth and Sky trilogy.

What is considered horror can be extremely subjective and personal. What we carry with us through the chapters of our lives that haunt us shapes us.

Imagine being a final girl.

In this post, I review The Angel of Indian Lake by Stephan Graham Jones.

Gearing up for a review of "House of Bone and Rain" by Gabino Iglesias. I have a bit of a teaser question for you, though: What lengths would you go to for your found family?

Drop your answers below, before next week!

I am really proud of this post. Chuck Tingle talked about the act creating at the best book tour ever, so I felt his newest book deserved my best efforts. Welcome to Bury Your Gays.

One of my favorite pastimes is watching movies based on books. For today's review, I compare the differences in The Watch by AM Shine and the movie based on it directed by Ishana Night Shymalan.

Oh man, I'm so excited to share my review of Paul Tremblay's latest, Horror Movie. This week is taking its toll, though, so I might be a little late on my review.

IRL Sharra is dealing with hospitals, doctors, and visiting critically injured parental units. Everyone is stable and doing well, but it does take a lot out of the human meats.

If you want to help out in these trying times, check out my blog at www.reedfaster.com

I fell in love with Paul Tremblay's work when I read A Head Full of Ghosts. I am already in love with this book, and I haven't even started it yet. The design is gorgeous, the pages a gory, wonderful red.
