Der Punkt wird nächstes Jahr angegangen. Hardware: momentan Apple. Das iPhone wird auch bleiben. Ich nutze hier alternativen zu den Standardapps wo es geht, wie beispielsweise #eMClient als Mailprogramm.

#eMclient est un client mail assez ancien, puisqu'il existe depuis de longues années sur Windows. Désormais sur #MacOs et #iOs, c'est un logiciel puissant, très bien conçu, paramètrable, et qui gère très bien les clés #pgp.
Depuis qu'ils sont racheté PostBox, que ce soit sur iOs ou MacOs, eMclient est très agréable à utiliser, et surtout efficace.
Un excellent choix !

Ein weiterer Schritt ist geschafft:
Mit dem Einbinden des Nextcloud-Kalenders in meinen Desktop-Mailclient ist der Google-Kalender endgültig aus der Benutzung verschwunden.
Allerdings musste ich dazu auf #Thunderbird als Mailclient wechseln, den der von mir verwendete #emClient lässt den Import eines externen Kalenders gar nicht zulässt. 🤷♂️
Das verursacht etwas Arbeit, denn im alten Programm waren die Mails bestens organisiert.

Nemám rád tuhle funkci. Do dnes v GMailu (když už náhodou musím na web rozhraní) nevím, kde najít emaily různých služeb.
Naštěstí se to dá vypnout, ale čtvrt hodiny jsem čuměl, kam mi zmizela polovina ranních emailů.

Microsoftlizenzen sind auf 3 Jahre "nur" ca. 1000€ teurer.
#Trainings sind nicht mit kalkuliert
emClient wird auch immer raffgieriger: Vor einiger Zeit eine "Pro-Lizenz" gekauft, damals angeblich "lebenslang" gültig. Heute die Info: Client hat keine aktive Lizenz mehr. Und was sind nun die Alternativen: Entweder die kostenfreie mit nur 2 Mailkonten oder eine "Pro", als Abo. Die vorhandene Pro funktioniert nicht mehr. Außerdem ist emClient nicht Linux tauglich. Also: Es lohnt sich nicht, emClient als Alternative für outlook zu kaufen, die Geschäftspolitik dieser Firma ist ähnlich wie vieler anderer Softwarefirmen, die einem erst eine angeblich lebenslange Lizenz verkaufen und dann mit einem Mal diese als nicht mehr gültig stornieren (einseitige Vertragsänderung). Eigentlich müsste man gegen so ein Geschäftsgebahren klagen. Aber bei Firmen mit Hauptsitz im Ausland...

Switching to @thunderbird as my Mac e-mail client now that #Postbox has been sold to #eMClient. I went with Postbox years ago because Thunderbird didn't feel like a native MacOS app. That has changed now. Thunderbird 128 looks very slick!
The one killer feature I'm still missing though is "domain fencing" (a warning or highlight if people outside of your company are on the list of recipients).

A few days ago I mentioned that Postbox Inc. has been acquired by #eMClient. I would like to correct one statement (and I am very happy to do so): In addition to the subscription version, they also offer a single-payment version. So I can actually live with that. I am still very sad that the mail client that has made my daily work easier for almost 1 1/2 decades will no longer be existent, but I hope that eM Client will take over the functions that are important to me. Let's see.

They are not very well known but they`ve been around for quite a while already. I've been using it for years for my personal email (while I stick to Outlook for my work email).
I completely switched away from #outlook Desktop and now I am using eM Client for my desktop mail app. I love it. I can make a calendar event copy to Google, Outlook.com with no problems then it syncs with my Samsung phone calendar app. All this with a few clicks inside eM Client. Outlook Desktop I had to use a third party app to get it to sync to Google. eM Client integrates everything I use in my life nicely and I so glad I found it. #eMclient
Ok I have stopped using Desktop Outlook the old version because I don't like the new version and the direction Microsoft is going with Outlook. I switched and bought a lifetime license to eM Client love it. #microsoft #Outlook #eMclient.
