In celebration of the First National Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday a unique warbler. A post that is very difficult to assemble. The Prothonotary Warbler is (to me) the crown jewel of the nature center. Vivid yellow, gregarious, communicative, incredibly interactive, at times a jester - they will talk back. Their song, more than any other will send this old man running down the trails on bad knees to see the bird. The difficulty stems from the limit of 4 images. How can I encompass all of the faces of this bird (from a few hundred images) with only four photos?

A summer visitor, Prothonotary Warblers nest in our areas, so we get to witness, arrival, courtship, nesting and fledglings before the head out Caribbean shorelines for winter. It is always a delight to visit with these birds.
