Here are the #BoardGames that I played in January, graphic courtesy of the #BGStats app!

Lots of #ForestShuffle and #Harmonies with my partner, and we got a few plays of #Unmatched with the new Witcher sets as well.

A highlight though was a return to #Hoplomachus Victorum, motivated by the new Pandora expansions. Turns out I’d left a campaign half finished, so I’m working through that before touching the new stuff.

Big shout outs to Tapestry, A Nice Cuppa, and Salton Sea too!

We had a little fun today with Forest Shuffle today. Played with both expansions and all cards. Our conclusion: removing cards = good idea, playing with all cards = bad idea. Still fun to have done it once, with @eerko

Yes. That solitary card face down is the draw deck and the final Winter card. The hand swooping down to claim it and end the game prevented me getting another butterfly out but that 6th hare just secured a narrow 168-157-147-145 victory.

In #ForestShuffle, the game ends immediately once the 3rd winter card has been drawn. Which means, in some cases players don't get equal turns. Has this bothered you? Does anyone know why the designer decided against equal turns? Have you houseruled it?

Funktiert ganz gut - allerdings habe ich ewig gebraucht um die 2. Erdkröte einzubauen.
Beim scannen stimmen leider oft die Blättersymbole nicht, sind aber super schnell zum korrigieren.

It's been a while since I posted about the #boardgames I've been playing.

#Dorfromantik has quickly become a favorite. I love the video game, and this does a great job simulating the experience. And you get to open up a bunch of little boxes!

#ForestShuffle is just about perfect! I think I just love agonizing over cards to keep and cards to discard. I'm constantly in a state of second guessing every decision I make, and I love it!

#CoffeeRush is adorable, stressful, brutal, and a ton of fun.

Epic BGA Forest Shuffle tussle with @Simpike ends in a 280-280 tie. Given the wild complexity of scoring mechanics that seems incredibly unlikely!

Just finished my first game of #ForestShuffle on #BoardGameArena and I have no idea what was going on. Maybe because there was a lot of time between turns but it was hard to keep up with what I was trying to do in my Tableau. Also, I had like a million trees and very few animals. Not sure I will play on BGA again.

🎲 C’est reparti et on profite de la fréquentation raisonnable du matin pour investir la zone #jeux des #utopiales et tester Forêt Mixte, jeu de cartes de construction d’écosystèmes forestiers, où je retrouve des mécaniques qui me rappelle #Wingspan. Auch im Oktober wurden wieder Karten gemischt, die Würfel geschmissen & Punkte gezählt. #forestshuffle kam dabei erstmals analog auf den Tisch und hat wirklich großen Spaß gemacht auch wenn das Punkte auswerten lange dauert aufgrund der vielen Karten. #bgstats #boardgames #spieleoktober #mischwald #brettspiele
