🕶️ The engine logo 📚️ Pachi is a libre and multi-platform AI for the game of Go (an AI specialized in this type of games), with a fairly good level (power estimated at 1958 Elo/1D for the v.12.50 5k, ranked in the middle of the chart on GitHub in March 2021; humans reach 3800 Elo), communicating with the GTP protocol. Its strong points: it is libre, relatively simple to implement, and exceeds the power of GNU Go, especially if one activates the DCNN (neural network for its movements, making it 2 dan KGS in 19x19, or even 4 dan, depending on the hardware used, on a scale max of 9d) placing it in the category of good engines. Excellent!

Go Board project update: Finished 3D printing bowls. Twisting the bowl causes the "petals" to rotate open. Found it on thingiverse.com/thing:7204987

Now to fix the dead zone issue and I'll be done!

Yesterday we were solving a #puzzle [0] at the #boardgame evening at gomokry*. We did not finish because the colours were so similar. But the puzzle was a glow in the dark puzzle from the 1990ies. So we turned off the light and the unicorn looks so nice.

We also played Qwirkle [1] and Azul [2].

Every first and second Sunday of a month there is a board game evening. Haven't attended it in 3 years.

Go Board project update: I was testing the Go stones I've made so far and realized I can use them to visualize the dead zone in the magnetic field. The dead zone is thicker the higher I go so the solution to minimize it is to adhere the coil to the bottom of the board instead of the bottom of the case
