I'm traveling a lot by train lately to visit events or other dev-meetings, but also to visit places for entertainment. People who know me are aware that I hate traveling itself while I like visiting new places. Are there any monster collecting/taming games where instead of abusing monsters as instruments of war to fight for your cowardly character, you get to like make friends with monsters and be nice to them without being exploitive?
Imagine if (in real life) preserving wildlife meant capturing wild birds and forcing them to fight to the death against roaming ecologists.
Closest I can think of is Endless Ocean on Wii (pet fish to fill out a compendium) or maybe playing Wingspan on switch (but the latter feels like a cope out)

Tactical Nexus is a tile-based strategy puzzle game where you defeat enemies, build up your stats, and try to beat each tower with high levels and without losing too much HP for a high score.
The first two chapters are free; subsequent chapters are DLC packs.
If you are a rhythm game enjoyer, I strongly recommend Rotaeno. It makes excellent use of smartphones' gyro sensors for some of the best immersion I've seen in a rhythm game, while still having tight controls and chart design to push expert players to their limits.

Are there any #indiegame Luigi's Mansion-likes out there? I'm replaying Luigi's Mansion 3 and loving it all over again. The puzzle-box levels combined with light action is such a winning combo. I really suck at #platforming so I could do with a few more games like this and fewer metroidvanias in my backlog.

Portal é um jogo exclusivo da Steam, plataforma de jogos apenas para PC e SteamDeck. Tinha recebido de presente de natal e só fui jogar agora; é bem curtinho, mas cheio de personalidade. A ambientação é muito boa mesmo sendo um jogo antigo.
Se eu tivesse que descrever, sem spoilers, o enredo do jogo, seria "Relação tóxica com um robô"
A gameplay é divertida, e olha que eu não achei que gostava tanto de Puzzle antes. Tem praticamente nenhuma dica, você precisa deduzir as coisas sozinhos, porém raramente — mas não "nunca" — você fica preso. Boa parte dos obstaculos podem ser resolvidos mais de um jeito, assim dando uma sensação de liberdade ao jogador.
Então, no geral, eu avalio o jogo 10/10, acho que todo mundo deveria jogar antes. Afinal você tem até "bolo" no final! :among_us_orange_dance:

If you haven’t seen UFO 50 yet and you have any nostalgia for NES/SNES, I recommend snagging it.

#NintendoSwitch: Started playing Mr. Run and Jump and I like it quite the bit. The visuals are excellent and the difficulty seems to be about right for my patience 😅

I need suggestions. I used to really enjoy singing/playing Lips on xbox, and I made it to the top 300 on rockband 2 and 3 for vocals. I'm wanting a similar type of singing game with scoring and the guide for singing in tune but for PC as I got a good mic for Christmas (and because I don't think there's any on xbox any more). Does anyone know of any good ones?

I finished playing Sephonie yesterday and it's absolutely up there among my favourite 3D platformers & among my favourite vibes in games.
I feel like i've only heard a few people talking about it and in pretty niche, "obscure games lovers" places, but it just deserves love from everyone who enjoys platforming! Its movement, its music, its story and the incredible care & love with which its characters are written will stay with me for a long time ❤️
