For less-than no reason, the theme song from the 1990's animated series #GoofTroop popped into my head. Even not having heard the song in well over a decade, it struck me in my thoughts:

"Was the singer of the Goof Troop theme actually an incredible vocalist?"

I listened to it. He WAS an incredible vocalist! But WHO is it?

I looked it up, and the vocalist in question is #PhilPerry - here he is performing with #GeorgeDuke at #Montreaux.

The control Perry has over his voice is humbling. He has fantastic pitch and as importantly, dynamic. This man is IMPRESSIVE. I can't believe I'd never heard of him.

Apparently in the wake of the September 11th attack, the scene of Max and Goofy saving Tank was cut out of AN EXTREMELY GOOFY MOVIE (2000). According to IMDb, it's not on the DVD, the Disney Channel version or the version on Disney+. I can't personally attest to this as I haven't previously seen it.

But I can say that the version on Prime Video and Vudu, (currently on sale for $5), does indeed include the scene.

Another #SNESFriday, another anecdote.

Back in elementary school, I was guest on a birthday party. Later in the day, the remaining kids gathered in birthday boy's room and we started playing #GoofTroop in 2-player mode.

The rules were simple: Who died had to pass on the controller. With one short intermission, I ended up playing the whole time. 😅 Another kid, who didn't like me then, ended up finishing up the game with me.

Suddenly, we were buddies the next day. #ShareYourGames #VideoGames
