At the map you can see the avarage waiting times for hitch-hiker throughout europe , visualized with colors reaching from dark green (10 min) over yellow (50 min) up to dark red (90 min). MOst of the islands(Irland , most of island. balearic islands, Corse, Sardinia, Sicily ) are green , while attika Island of Greece is red. Most of eastern europe is greenish. Southern part of austria and croacia is red as well as the souther part of Italy and Spain is reddish except for the tip of southern Calabria and southern Puglia, which seem to behave like island. Portugal slighly better than Spain and there the south better than north. Albania. Montenegro, Netherland and Belgium, baltic countries and Moldavia are completly green, Rumania , Bulgaria , Poland, Turkey(e), Scotland and Finnland are mostly greenish as well. Northwestern Italy (Piemonte, Lombardia, Liguria) ist mostly reddish as well. Very drastic color changes in Norway and Sweden and Ukraine.
