I’ve had almost all channels of media off all day—the news, social media feeds—and I have been spending most of the day with my husband. I am avoiding media feeds because it seems like all of it has the purpose of making me feel bad in some kind of way.

Having an intention that is fulfilled via the discomfort and dysphoria of a group of people is sadistic. In that sense, the media is sadistic, and the society that perpetuates the media is sadistic.
