Lots of people have been without power for most of today here. My dad called to tell me his power was out too. I asked him if he needed anything.

He said, “My phone died, but I fixed it.”

“Umm, you fixed it?”

“Yup, I pulled a car battery & hooked it up to charge my phone.”

That’s my dad for ya. Power’s out. He’s an electrical engineer’s EE. Man doesn’t need no stinkin backup power when he can gonzo wire a spare car battery he has just LYING AROUND THE HOUSE.
