I’m listening to this #hiddenbrain episode rn abt “the political divide” & the researcher is suggesting that people aren’t wary of relationships on “the other side” but of the fear that those people (specifically a potential spouse for their children) might TALK abt their politics all the time- that they’ll be “someone to whom politics is important”, as if family & pregnancy & weather & entertainment is apolitical…I am so frustrated by these frameworks
