#Kabul: Four Renovated Buildings Handed Over for Use at the #Central_Marastoon

Renovation work of residential facilities, a healthcare center, a vocational training center, administrative buildings, sanitation facilities, as well as water supply, and electricity systems for internal beneficiaries at the Kabul Central Marastoon of the #ARCS have been completed and officially handed over for use, with financial support from the #IFRC.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS; Mawlawi Sayed Ahmad Bahramand, Director of Marastoons; and Ms. Huma Nader, Acting Head of the IFRC Delegation in #Afghanistan.

During the event, ARCS Vice President stated, “The ARCS is striving to enhance the level of services at its Marastoons and to support and assist a greater number of #vulnerable, #orphaned, and female-headed families.” He expressed gratitude for the IFRC’s comprehensive cooperation and described such infrastructure projects as vital to improving the lives of beneficiaries.

In his remarks, Mr. Bahramand described the renovation of these buildings as a major step toward providing better facilities for the beneficiaries and noted that it would help ensure more organized and standardized care and support for internally displaced people.

Ms. Huma Nader assured continued #cooperation with the ARCS and stated that IFRC will continue to support #health, #education, and #humanitarian_services in the future.

#Public_Awareness_Workshop for #ARCS New Volunteers Concludes

The ARCS Youth and Volunteers Department successfully concluded a three-day public awareness training workshop for 45 newly registered #volunteers at the central headquarters, focusing on volunteer services and activities. The workshop ended with the distribution of certificates to the participants.

At the workshop’s closing session, Mr. Mawlawi Arifullah Mansoor, Director of Youth and Volunteers, described volunteers as an essential and inseparable part of ARCS’s #humanitarian_services. He added that the volunteers’ efforts, dedication, and selflessness help ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those in need and affected families promptly and effectively.

He also urged participants to uphold the organization’s principles of neutrality, humanity, and voluntary service, to avoid any form of discrimination during humanitarian service delivery, and to strengthen the reputation and trust of ARCS.

During the workshop, newly registered volunteers received essential information on volunteer identification, ethics, humanitarian activities, principles of volunteerism, ARCS emblems, and the volunteer’s role in providing basic health care.

The Afghan Red Crescent Vice President met with officials from the Danish Red Cross and the International Organization for Migration.

Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS), held a three-way meeting at the central headquarters with Mr. Mohammad Al-Shamma, the Head of the Danish Red Cross in Afghanistan, and Mr. Thomas, Deputy of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), to discuss expanding cooperation in the care and treatment of patients with mental health conditions.

During the meeting, Hafiz Azizur Rahman briefed the representatives of these organizations on the humanitarian services the Afghan Red Crescent is providing to citizens throughout the country. He added that a large number of citizens have developed mental health conditions as a result of past events and crises and require extensive support and care. He emphasized the importance of assistance from international aid organizations in providing better and more comprehensive services to these patients and requested the officials' cooperation in supporting them.

The Deputy of the International Organization for Migration in Afghanistan, in his remarks, expressed satisfaction with the activities of the Afghan Red Crescent and pledged that, considering available resources, they would provide the necessary support for the care and treatment of patients with mental health conditions and work with the Afghan Red Crescent.

محترم حافظ عزیزالرحمن، معاون هلال احمر افغانی، با آقای محمد الشمع، مسؤول صلیب سرخ دنمارک در #افغانستان و آقای توماس، معاون #ادارهٔ_بین_المللی_مهاجرت، نشست سه جانبه ای را در دفتر مرکزی این اداره، به منظور گسترش همکاری در زمینه نگهداری و تداوی #بیماران_روانی برگزار کرد.

در این نشست، محترم حافظ عزیزالرحمن به نمایندگان این نهادها در مورد #خدمات_بشردوستانه‌ای که از سوی هلال‌احمر افغانی در بخش‌های مختلف به شهروندان #کشور ارائه می‌شود، معلومات داد و افزود که در نتیجه حوادث و بحران‌های گذشته، شمار زیادی از شهروندان به بیماری‌های روانی مبتلا شده‌اند و به حمایت و رسیدگی گسترده نیاز دارند. وی کمک‌های نهادهای بین‌المللی امدادرسان را در جهت ارائه خدمات بهتر و گسترده‌تر به بیماران روانی بسیار مهم دانست و از مسؤولین یادشده درخواست همکاری برای حمایت از آنان کرد.

معاون اداره بین‌المللی مهاجرت در افغانستان، در سخنان خود ضمن ابراز خرسندی از فعالیت‌های هلال‌احمر افغانی، وعده سپرد که با درنظر گرفتن امکانات موجود، در بخش مراقبت و تداوی بیماران روانی، همکاری و کمک‌های لازم را با هلال‌احمر افغانی انجام خواهد داد.

During the meeting, Mr. Azizur Rahman briefed the delegates on the various #humanitarian_services ARCS is providing to the people. He noted that due to recent crises and disasters, many Afghans are suffering from mental health disorders and require extensive support and care. He emphasized the importance of assistance from international aid organizations in providing better and more comprehensive services to mental health patients and requested cooperation from the officials to strengthen this support.

Mr. Thomas expressed satisfaction with the activities of ARCS and pledged to provide the necessary support for the care and treatment of mental health patients, based on the resources available.

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, along with Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam, Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs, met with Mr. Najmuddin Najm, Executive Director of the Development Network at the Aga Khan Foundation, and his delegation to discuss enhancing #cooperation in expanding #humanitarian_services to vulnerable people.

During the meeting, Mr. Delawar briefed the delegation on the ongoing nationwide services provided by the ARCS to vulnerable, disaster-affected, and repatriated individuals. He emphasized that the ARCS delivers humanitarian assistance impartially, based strictly on the needs of the people.

Mr. Najm commended the efforts of the ARCS and reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to collaborate on joint humanitarian initiatives supporting #repatriated_refugees, #affected individuals, and #vulnerable communities.

شیخ‌الحدیث شهاب‌الدین دلاور، رئیس عمومی #هلال‌احمر_افغانی، و معاون ایشان، حافظ عزیزالرحمن، با خانم جوهانا، مسئول ساحوی صلیب سرخ دنمارک برای #آسیا و #اروپا، و آقای محمد شمع، مسئول این اداره در افغانستان، دربارهٔ همکاری‌ها و #خدمات_مشترک_بشری نشستی هماهنگی برگزار کردند.

در این نشست، رئیس عمومی معلومات مفصلی دربارهٔ خدمات #بشردوستانهٔ هلال‌احمر افغانی در سراسر کشور ارائه کرد، از حمایت‌ها و همکاری‌های صلیب سرخ دنمارک قدردانی نمود و افزود که تلاش‌های مشترک دو نهاد می‌تواند کیفیت و اثرگذاری کمک‌های بشری در افغانستان را بیش از پیش تقویت کند. وی تأکید کرد که هلال‌احمر افغانی از هر پروگرام مشترک بشری که به بهبود زندگی مردم کمک کند، استقبال می‌کند.

از سوی دیگر، مسئول ساحوی صلیب سرخ دنمارک برای آسیا و اروپا در سخنان خود گفت که صلیب سرخ دانمارک به حمایت از مردم افغانستان متعهد است و قصد دارد از طریق هلال‌احمر افغانی، کمک‌ها و رسیدگی بیشتری به افغان‌ها ارائه دهد. وی ضمن قدردانی از فعالیت‌های هلال‌احمر افغانی، وعده داد که برای #زلزله‌زدگان ولایت #کنر، کمک‌های زمستانی فراهم خواهد شد.

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the #ARCS, along with Vice President Hafiz Azizur Rahman, held a coordination meeting with Ms. Johanna, the Regional Head for #Asia and #Europe of the Danish Red Cross (DRC), and Mr. Mohammad Shama, the Head of the DRC Office in Afghanistan, to discuss joint humanitarian cooperation and services.

During the meeting, Mr. Delawar provided detailed information on the #humanitarian_services currently being delivered by ARCS across the country. He thanked the DRC for its support and cooperation and noted that the joint efforts of both organizations can further strengthen the quality and impact of humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan. He emphasized that ARCS welcomes any joint humanitarian programs that help improve people’s lives.

In her remarks, Ms. Johanna stated that DRC remains committed to supporting the people of Afghanistan and expressed their intention to assist even more Afghans through ARCS. She praised the efforts of the ARCS and pledged to provide winter assistance to the #earthquake_affected families in #Kunar province.

Mr. Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS, met with Mr. Hosam Faysal, Head of the IFRC Delegation in #Afghanistan, and Program Manager Mr. Ahmad Suleiman to discuss strengthening #humanitarian_services and enhancing coordination in joint efforts.

During the meeting, Mr. Azizur Rahman briefed the delegation on the humanitarian services of the ARCS. He emphasized the significance of expanding assistance in response to the urgent needs of families affected by the recent earthquakes and called for the expansion of joint cooperation in this regard.

Mr. Faysal praised ARCS for its services and reaffirmed IFRC’s commitment to sustaining collaboration across various sectors.
