The flower hangs downward on its stem, displaying a distinctive two-part structure characteristic of daffodils - a trumpet-shaped center (corona) surrounded by six outer petals. The flower's central trumpet remains a vibrant golden-yellow color with a ruffled edge, while the surrounding petals show signs of aging. These outer petals have transformed from their original yellow to a papery, tan-beige color with a dried, tissue-like texture. Some petals curl backward, creating graceful curves that resemble aged parchment.
