Es mag Details geben, die bei Gmail, Outlook, Office und Windows besser sind oder bei FOSS fehlen, Killerfeatures sehe ich da nicht. Ich nutze die Alternativen seit Jahren und vermisse nix, obwohl ich ganz sicher mehr Funktionen nutze als die allermeisten Benutzer.

Auch #Signal ist funktional eine vollwertige Alternative. Auch die Reichweite hat sich erhöht und: niemand zwingt dich, WhApp sofort zu löschen.

If you use #k9 #email #app ["under the hood" it's #thunderbird (for #android) now], downloadable at the fdroid-appstore [ https://f-droid.org/de/packages/com.fsck.k9/ ] you got the "Drop-down drawer" for mailboxes enabled with the update to version 14.

It makes checking for new mail in multiple accounts a painful experience: The new design is slower because it needs more taps, because it removed the overview of all managed mail accounts and hides it in a drawer...

Other disappointed users started a thread in the official K9-support-forum where i commented in support. There are also thunderbird-team-members involved in the support-forum and should see the impact of the change, and that it has to be rolled back somehow, to reenable the old workflow:

Linked to the support-thread is the "task" at Microsoft-GitHub, where the k9-developers discuss the issue. I do not know exactly how the development of the app works and if there is more feedback needed in the developer-task? Personally i deleted most accounts at Big Tech companies and do not want to recreate one to interact at github.

@nuintari F-Droid has been great. After moving from #gmail to #mailbox_org I switched my mobile mail app to #K9 and have been using the #Fossify apps. While they may not have the most features, they are minimal and that's appreciated.

I still have some work to do in #deGoogling. #Nextcloud or another solution as well as finding a #googlevoice alternative.

#fdroid has been overall a positive experience. It reminds me of #googleplay from circa 2011.

Detection Dog Training is full of details. One which is filled with a little bit of extra magic is blowing bubbles to check wind and scent movement direction.

Today (Oct. 24), we and Methuen Police are honoring K-9 Kilo at Hillside Acre Animal Cemetery at Nevins Farm. Kilo served for 10 years before he crossed the rainbow bridge, and he’s remembered as being fearless, focused, and determined.
