My trip to Hangzhou was short, but even now, I remember I was in my best state of mind - happy, calm, unrushed - on this solo photowalk in a foreign city, in 15°C weather.

It is nothing new now, but back then I was fascinated at the sight of an outdoor escalator in an old town like this - so yes, it deserves a ceremonial shot as I make my way up on it.

Purple Frames.

What I really love about these photographs is how, despite the unfortunate quality of the expired film, the prowess of the lens on an Olympus half frame camera comes through completely. They are such tiny but mighty beasts.

Color Shifts.

This is not the first time I've brought it up but Konica Centuria has the craziest, funkiest color shifts in all its expired glory. Maybe I even used the same words to describe it. Some frames turned out better than the others, mostly the ones at the back of the roll, understandably so. These are some of the "worst", if this isn't how you like your surprises.
