The black registration "B-304K" is on the upper rear fuselage.
Grey concrete apron and black tarmac taxiway fill the foreground, with trees stretching across the background under hazy grey sky.
In the middle of the background, a green fire training rig, vaguely resembling a 3-engined Boeing 747, is sitting there looking a bit sorry for itself.

There are spoilers raised on top of the wing, flaps extended from the rear of the wing, and the rear section of the engine cowling has moved backwards, exposing the thrust reversers, suggesting the plane has just landed.
The plane is mostly white, with a grey belly, with blue "Turkish Airlines" titles on the upper forward fuselage, and a grey flower on the rear fuselage.
The tail is red, with the outline of a white circle containing a white, stylised flying bird, a logo repeated on the up-turned wingtips.

There is a red, black, and white tartan pattern on the tail.
Green grass fills most of the foreground, with a collection of mobile airstairs right at the bottom of the frame.
Taxiways and a runway lined with green grass, in the background lead up to a nearly full car park surrounded by a black metal mesh fence, with tall lighting poles scattered amongst the cars, with tall trees beyond.

Photo of the day 8th March 2025.

Despite how it looks, this is not some weird hybrid plane, this isn't some kind of Frankenstein's Monster cooked up for a tv show, this is a fire training rig, meant to simulate different types of planes for training for fire services.
Oddly, both the types this most closely resembles (Boeing 747 and Douglas DC-10/McDonnell Douglas MD-11) are no longer in passenger service, and haven't been seen here in years.

Photo of a green, but badly corroded, Fire Training Rig, a metal construction that vaguely resembles several different types of jet airliner, used for fire training, facing to the right.
The forward section looks very much like a Boeing 747-400, with an elongated upper deck, and a very short body section leads to an engine mounted on top of the fuselage, similar to a DC-10, but without the tail.
Shortened wings have an engine pod hanging underneath, and flaps appear to be extended to their full extent.
There are white "Simulation[dash]ters[dot]com" and "Manchester Airport" titles on the upper forward fuselage, the latter being rather faded, and "Fire Training Rig" on the tail engine.
Although mostly green, there are brown and orange rust marks all around the body, especially around the middle of the airframe and around the engine pods.
Green grass fills the foreground, with trees behind, under grey skies.
