I'm happy to announce the first version of Roc VAD, a virtual audio device for macOS that can stream to/from #PulseAudio, #PipeWire, Android, and others.

It also provides a gRPC interface with full control of the driver, which allows reusing driver in other projects.

How would you debug a playing audio stream on mac os?
I want to verify, if my Streaming Provider really provides Dolby Audio and thus want to verify the format of the audio stream. I can’t capture the audio due to DRM.

Today in audio routing, Final Cut Pro always sends to outputs 1&2, despite what is set in "Audio MIDI Setup", and it seems DaVinci Resolve works the same.

I could not figure out what was going on. I could hear all other sounds. Relieved to have this figured out! πŸ’œ
