So utterly annoying that DigiKey missed to ship 3 components on my #NES #NESessity build, now I have to pay 20 bucks in shipping for components worth 2 bucks 😂
But I'm almost finished with my build, hopefully it works too!

Quick review of the outputs of the NESRGB, I think the results speak for themselves quality-wise. The finale of the NESRGB + NESessity install: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDmkW4xGoo0
Finished the installation guide for the NESessity boards + NESRGB. There were a couple of issues that were sorted during the build, but everything came out pretty great.

Starting to document the journey with the NESessity board + NESRGB installation. The docs are there, but they're kinda hard to put together. I'm hoping to get the information in one place and offer more clarity on how everything fits together.
So, after diving through a ton of information, I've made some discoveries:
1. The NESessity board doesn't use the same Mini-DIN socket that the NESRGB does.
2. The pinouts are definitely different.
3. You don't pull `R`, `G`, or `B` off of the regular spot on the NESRGB.
4. The NESessity uses the Sega Mega-Drive/Genesis 2 RGB cable.
In short: don't order an NESRGB compatible RGB cable if you're using a NESessity board, use a Genesis 2 RGB cable.
#NES progress update: the NESessity v1.4 power/AV board with NESRGB support is finished, got everything soldered and it's ready to go. Still waiting some other parts to come in including the actual NESRGB. The ports from left to right: S-Video, RGB, 12V DC, stereo audio, and composite video. The long 8-pin header is where the some of the outputs of the NESRGB connect to the video outputs on the board. The chonk heatsink is for the 7805 5V LDO...there will not be anything resembling a heat issue.
