It has been years now, but it is still weird to see Greg Anderson in the #NHRA rocking the now-classic "Ricky Hendrick" HendrickCars paint scheme made to look like the GMAC paint scheme that Ricky Hendrick ran as a driver, which also adorns Kyle Larson, the Hendrick Xfinity car, and Rajah Caruth in #NASCAR Trucks
Of course three races in one day wasn't enough for me, I've kept it on FS1 after NASCAR so I can watch the #NHRA racing in Phoenix I believe. I'm often too exhausted from a day of racing or just the often primetime TV schedule of drag racing, but this one came on earlier than usual tonight.

Went and watched some drag racing at Hot August Night tonight, something I haven’t done in two decades. The jet car did not disappoint.
6.47 secs @ 252.24 mph 1/4 mile.
They often air #NHRA drag racing in primetime on FS1 tape delayed, and when it sometimes starts at 8 PM and I'm often wanting to take my night pills around 8-9 PM and usually having watched other series all day, I just don't have 3 hours to commit.
But with little racing competition today it is airing late afternoon/early evening so I'm enjoying myself with the series I'd most wished I could DVR on my final day with my dad.

NHRA Funny Car legend John Force sent to the hospital after his car exploded during the first round of the PlayNHRA Virginia Nationals.
The 75-year old won the race against Terry Haddock, clocking in at 302.62-mph before his engine exploded.
Force was able to exit the car and was apparently alert before being sent to the hospital.
