Incendio en un edificio abandonado de la Avenida de la Albufera 🔥🚒

Este miércoles se producía un incendio en un edificio abandonado de la Avenida de la Albufera. El edificio ubicado en el número 12 fue declarado en ruina en 2022 tras que se derrumbase una pared de uno de los locales comerciales de la planta baja.

Desde hace meses las vecinas y vecinos de Puente de Vallecas llevan alertando de que un suceso de este estilo podría suceder el día menos pensado y así ha sucedido. Según los vecinos, hace escasos días se había producido otro pequeño incendio a escasos metros y en su interior, vivían o pernoctaban algunas personas indigentes o en grave riesgo de exclusión social.

Sobre las 21h comenzaban a arder una de las estancias de la primera planta y la mitad del techado, propagándose rápidamente por la estructura de madera, provocando una fuerte humareda que podía intoxicar a los vecinos de los edificios colindantes. El edificio (o los restos del inmueble) no contaba con ningún tipo de vigilancia, algo que han denunciado los vecinos y las asociaciones del barrio ante la Junta Municipal del distrito.

Los vecinos denuncian que el caso de este inmueble no es único en el distrito y que se está produciendo un proceso de abandono por parte de las autoridades donde la falta de prevención y degradación del barrio está creando un proceso intencionado de "Tugurización" urbanística, es decir, la transformación de un determinado espacio en un lugar de malas condiciones para vivir o estar, como fase previa a una futura gentrificación del parque inmobiliario de la zona.

Los facultativos del Samur-Protección Civil atendieron a un varón de unos 40 años con posible lesión ortopédica tras que este saltase desde la primera planta de uno de los edificios colindantes. Tras estabilizarlo ha sido trasladado al Hospital Gregorio Marañón.

De momento, se desconocen las causas del incendio.
