Well, it was a day. The RPG game session went well, and no one had already read the books I gave as presents. The internet crashed a few times in the afternoon, but NOT at 5:30; maybe that's because it was Saturday. I think the network has issues which may be causing to crash in response to increased use after work on weekdays.
No YouTube today. I did look up a couple of LPs on the Internet Archive, and found them both; I shared them with the other players in the game, which is a historical fantasy set in the late 1800's. I don't know if anyone will actually *listen* to either of them, but I can hope!
What the heck. I already shared one of them earlier today; here's the other. It's a recording of Kurt Weill's "The Threepenny Opera", in English. We had that record when I was a kid, and oddly enough I quite liked it!
There's an odd, bitter, macabre quality to it that's like nothing else I've ever heard - although it might be slightly reminiscent of "Cabaret".
