Finished rebuilding my website. I now have a quick workflow from markdown to html (an achievement for me, I assure you). Only hosts my Journal and a rudimentary Gallery (analog gravefield stones / flora prints / multiple-exposures) right now, but I'm happy to have my own easily maintainable corner of the web again.
Plans include figuring out how to get an RSS feed up for my Journal posts, and making the gallery lighter (maybe 7mb isn't that heavy? I don't know anymore, where should my limit be?). I'm also considering starting a small Wiki section and a mountain work Photolog (forest / garden / meadow). Word Hoard too.
Ich bringe gerade mein Blog wieder an den Start 😁. Ich hatte es offline genommen, weil mir irgendwie die Ideen für neue Beiträge ausgingen und ich mir da zu viel Druck gemacht habe.
Vor einigen Wochen hab ich hier einen Beitrag gelesen, in dem jemand schrieb, dass es gar nicht so sehr darauf ankommt, ständig Content rauszupumpen. Hauptsache es gäbe noch private Websites, die vielleicht ab und zu aktualisiert werden.
Das hat mir genug Antrieb gegeben, das Blog wieder online zu nehmen.
Ich habe die Domain 19inch.org verwurstet. Unter https://19inch.org ist also ab sofort mein Blog erreichbar.
Aktuell schraube ich noch ein einigen Stellen, aber die Seite ist schon da 😊. Fediverse Integration inklusive 😉
Progress on this neat thing continues to evolve, I think this is pretty much the final solution now! Figured out how to have my bookshelf looking just a little better!

Only a work in progress for now, but inspired by @st3phvee I am now revamping my bookshelf section of my website and adding small summaries to all of my books!

Had to tweak my #StaticSiteGenerator just a bit to accommodate this unique new post type: The latest post will always be displayed in full at /now, with past entries eventually appearing as a simple list right below it.
That was a fun technical exercise as well as a nice excuse to reflect. Highly recommended!
