Yesterday's guiding. Never had this good guiding before! The whole night was between this and 0.45". This is with the 6" Newtonian on the HEQ5 (belt modded) and an off axis guider (0.88"/px). No wind and exceptionally good seeing for this corner of the world.

This is a #WorkInProgress of the Seagull Nebula (IC 2177).

A little over 2 hours exposure time in Ha and Sii, so it’s hard to pull the signal out much more.

But my stars are so much more round/sharp than before, thanks to my new OAG (now that I’ve removed the plastic film from the prism 😅), and with PHD2’s multi-star guiding.

Photo of the seagull nebula. The nebula is shown in shades of red, and vaguely resembles a seagull flying overhead. The ‘wings’ span the frame of the photo, and the ‘head’ is round, with a squiggle of dark nebula.
